Julie is one cute and exciting girl that was ready to rock her Quince dress! We started out at Vizcaya Museum, here Julie played with dress, took pictures with mom and abuelita had a lollipop and at the end of her session she pulled out her magic wand & we played with some bubbles… On day two we went to the beach where Julie really looked like a supermodel. OMG! We had a blast!
Get ready for Jane & Fernando’s wedding “Off to the Big Apple”! I want to talk to you about one lavishing wedding we just photographed. This was a Cuban-Catholic/Russian-Jewish wedding. We started our journey in Manhattan at the W Hotel. Here Jane was having her getting ready and was going to experience her first look. Fernando was calm,cool & collected and ready to get hitched.Once the beautiful couple saw each other, we hopped onto the limo and went around town for spectacular shots. Grand Central Terminalis one major landmark in New York so they definitely had amazing pictures there. Another location we stopped at was the Flat-Iron building. By this time it was raining but nothing stopped us, who says you can’t look good under an umbrella. Final Destination,  Long Island where we were greeted by both families. The ceremony took place at One North Club a beautiful venue that had it all. Let’s talk about traditions, in the russian tradition it is customary to greet your friends and family with lots of food. You heard right, food… There was so much food at this wedding it was incredible. During the reception Jane had a beautiful surprise from her father. He sang a heartfelt song to his little girl. I have never seen anything like it. Enjoy…

When I first spoke to Ana on the phone, she told me all about her exciting wedding details. We talked about the dress, the venue and her wonderful fiance. I had booked this wedding early in the year without yet meeting the bride and groom. It was an instant connection. Ana & David were blessed with such a beautiful day. This amazing couple came from the city that never sleeps to have a gorgeous destination wedding at The Palms hotel in South Beach. Ana looked so pretty as her daddy walked her down and I captured David’s emotions as she was reaching for him. This was such a special moment. Ana & David are not just pretty people, they both have huge hearts and their families are all so united. I wish you lots of love and happiness as your journey is filled with eternal bliss.

This magnificent couple decided to pack their bags and have a destination wedding in the beautiful island of the Bahamas! So we grabbed our gear took some suntan lotion and off we were. Samara & Petro celebrated with their friends and family a Greek wedding that was nothing but chic, beautiful & very heart felt.
Samara’s grandfather had made her dad a cake for his wedding. So Samara’s father had made her a cake for her wedding! This cake was beautiful and filled with love, surrounded by pretty flowers and their initials displayed on top. Oh! did I mention that it was damn good. 🙂 Also it is a tradition that Samara’s parents had their wedding in Bahamas. So it was a dream come true for her to have the wedding of a lifetime in the Bahamas with her love Petro.
Alex had a magnificent time with Petro and the boys during their getting ready session. They surely know how to have a blast. Petro had bought all his groomsmen and best-man initialed Converse sneakers with all their nicknames, pretty cool! The reception was at a wonderful restaurant called the Poop Deck. They served some amazing food and Bahamian delicacies. I shall treasure this wedding always…

I’m not saying that this was the most perfect wedding ever just because the bride is my granddaughter – it WAS! I think everyone there will agree that this was an event to remember. And since it was so beautifully recorded by truly gifted photographers, it will be especially lovely to revisit for years to come. The cake making tradition is worthy of perpetuation but luckily the wedding ceremony of the groom’s father and me was never even considered, being as it was on a Tijuana backstreet in a trailer up on blocks.
From the ridiculous to the sublime – and, Sam and Petro, your wedding was certainly totally SUBLIME!

I work with Sam and Petro and I have to say if love exists, it has a name, Sam and Petro. All this time that I have been at Ikatu, I have seen how much they love and understand each other.
