Bonnie Kelly emailed us with this question about her upcoming wedding. We both agreed that this question would be perfect for our “Tips of the Month!” If you have a question and your wondering what you should do please feel free to send your question in to me via email or comment a “Tips of the Month” and we will do our best to answer it quickly as possible!!
The Question? I don’t want my photographer to feel rushed over unnecessary and unorganized chaos that can be pre-organized before the wedding. Is there anything that can be preplanned that will give me more time with my photographer?
The Answer! YES!! Although it makes for an even longer day, taking photographs of your wedding party a couple hours before the ceremony will allow you more time later for the creative, fashion and artistic photographs. If you and your fiancé do not want to sneak a peek at each other prior to the “I do’s,” prepare a list of each formal photo you want taken after the ceremony. Designate one list-keeper and have him/her organize groups of people so they’re photo-ready as soon as the previous group is finished. With the proper organization your photographer will be right on board by quickly and strategically positioning your friends and family for the group photographs. This is a great way to build in extra time before the reception starts. I hope this helps!!!- xoxo Hazel
Next month we talk about album designs.
